This movie came out about a month ago but I will review it anyway, my old blog was having technical difficulties...lets begin shall we. Think Like A Man 2 is the sequel to the first film of the same name loosely based off of Steve Harvey's book about what men do and why they do it when it comes to love and commitment. So in this sequel all the couples are already established, happy and mostly problem free, they all drive up to Vegas from Los Angeles for Michael and Candace's wedding played by Terrance Jenkins and Regina Hall (love her) hijinks ensues. Yes that is the entire plot of the film. The two writers clearly got cocky after their first success and decided to just have a couple of beers and let the script right itself. My thinking is it went like this. What would 4 or 5 couples do on a Vegas vacation, drink, dance, go to a strip club and fight of course, then they put their pens down and went to the studio to collect their over inflated checks. This film has no plot whatsoever. They completely rely on Kevin Hart to carry the entire film using his short stature and tight clothes as most of the punch lines. I can't lie it does work Kevin is adorable with his raspy voice and doe eyed innocence. Whenever he screams at people in that angry little man tone, I always die of laughter! This review is going to be a short and sweet one. My last thoughts on the movie is please for the love of God casting directors ban Lala Anthony from acting in a movie ever again she is awful! Her lack of experience and training in the acting department sticks out like a sore thumb. Lala stick to hosting and interviewing dear....and leave the craft to the professionals thank you! Overall I give this film a B- it does have funny moments and the cast has amazing chemistry it is a fun Summer date movie.
A new and improved blog about my views on movies, t.v shows, books and even college campuses that specialize in film degrees. I promise to be as open and honest as possible, and not come off as some snooty reviewer that hates everything unless it is up for an academy award. I welcome all races, genders and people to view and become a fan of my blog! If there is a film in your country that you would like me to see and review let me know. As long as I can find the subtitled or dubbed version.
